Leaving for Africa Again

It seems like only yesterday I was returning from my second trip to Malawi and now I’m about to board another plane to take the gospel to the prisons of Kenya. I will once again be traveling with my dear friend Greg Von Tobel and two new friends, Paul Franks and Mike Afalava. We have been training for three months and today we made our final preparations as we packed our ministry bags.

We are going to great lengths to try several new things we have not done in the past. We have new materials to distribute to conference attendees, we have clothing to bless the inmates, and we have dramatically increased our humanitarian aid budget.

Jesus said “for I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.” (Mat 25:35-36) We intend to bless Jesus by bringing food, water, clothing and medication to the often forgotten and suffering inmates of Kenya.

I am excited to once again share my time with brothers and sisters on the other side of the world that have a heart to serve the inmates of the world, bringing the life saving good news of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ. They often tell us what a blessing we are to them but I know I speak for the entire American team when I say we receive the greater blessing.

To God be the glory!
